Our Story

In 1997 (before Google), a pivotal moment set the course for Scott Shorter’s future in digital marketing. While still in high school, Scott participated in a competition to drive the most website visitors. His strategy was so successful that his local Internet Service Provider wanted to take the website down. This early win sparked Scott’s lifelong fascination with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and the possibilities of digital traffic.

When Google emerged, Scott was quick to recognise the potential. He became one of the early adopters of SEO, transforming his passion into a professional service. Over the next decade, Scott honed his skills by working his way into leadership roles at several marketing agencies. During this time, he realised that many agencies were spreading themselves thin by offering a wide range of services, often diluting the focus on SEO.

In 2011, Scott saw a gap in the market: businesses needed a dedicated SEO agency that specialised exclusively in search engine performance, free from the distractions of a jack-of-all-trades model. That’s when he founded Scott Shorter Pty Ltd, a company with a singular focus on helping brands dominate search results.

Today, Scott Shorter Pty Ltd has grown into one of Australia’s top SEO agencies, consistently ranking nationally on some of the country’s most competitive keywords. Scott and his team have been fortunate to partner with some of Australia’s most prominent brands, helping them achieve their digital growth objectives through SEO excellence.
